  1. OMG, what a morning. hope your day is tolerable and flies by until you get to take the subway back home to the boy, rinse, and repeat.

  3. OK, reading this just scared the shit out of me. I couldn't even get half of that stuff done in the morning without a baby to take care of! Hope you make it through the day in one piece.

  4. Whoa, I need a drink after just reading about your morning. I am just glad you don't have to be at work by 8am! Good luck and looking forward to reading about the first day back.

  5. Remember those Calgon bubble bath commercials? Your morning totally beats out their vision of a hectic day. It is a constant challenge as a parent to carve out some "down" time. I hope you have a quiet cup of tea when you get home.

  6. You were busier in 3 hours than I am all day sometimes! Here's hoping your schedule gets a little less chaotic and you found that darn work ID!

  8. Man. You're a trooper.

You also sound just like my wife. None of her previous work shirts are working and she can NEVER find her ID. It's a crazy life. ;)

  9. Okay did you have a stopwatch or something? Serious routine!
What do you do with the boy while you are doing all that?
    That's always my biggest problem.
Hope the rest of your day was a little more relaxed! How's the daycare / nanny situation? And you're looking after soneone's cat!
    Hugs!

  10. Damn lady, that was quite the morning. You are a busy mommy. It's amazing how much you can get done in a little bit of time once you have a baby.
Although I was also wondering...where is the baby while you do all this? Mine were never OK with being alone for very long. Hope the first day back wasn't too bad.

  13. Damn me & my typos!

Long story short: we're not neglecting the boy. Well, only sort of... He is a super mellow baby in the morning and basically loves being dragged from room to room in his bouncy seat, watching as we do whatever: shower, make coffee, clean litter, fold laundry... The boy will be a domestic wunderkind. And thankfully that allows us to maintain this crazy household!
